Munair Simpson is a member of the business development team at Media and Future Division of SK Telecom [this division is officially under SK China]. Prior to his Korean adventure, Munair (pronounced " moon | air " or 무네어 in Korean) worked for Gracenote, Inc. and traveled around the world for them selling, installing, and troubleshooting Mobile Music ID systems. Gracenote (later acquired by Sony) was Network Resilience's largest client. Munair founded Network Resilience, Inc. in the San Francisco Bay Area in February 2002 to build Internet infrastructure for small businesses. Prior to moving to the United States, Munair worked on Central Information Systems at Cable and Wireless in the Cayman Islands. He started his career at Cable and Wireless in the Engineering Department working in the network operations center and maintaining transmission systems. Munair was born in Kingston, Jamaica and has an MBA from the prestigious Wharton School [University of Pennsylvania - an Ivy League School]. Munair not only made the Director's List while at Wharton, but also led Capoeira Classes at the Pottruck Health and Fitness Center of the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Recreation. Munair also holds a bachelors degree in engineering from the University of the West Indies [at the St. Augustine Campus in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago]. Munair was an honor student at the Cayman Islands High School and loved to play cricket and dominoes when he wasn't studying. Presently, Munair (also known as Zumbi) spends his free time singing, playing, and teaching Capoeira. Munair loves to travel and dig into social practices, philosophies, and religions (these days he is particularly curious about Theravada Buddhism). Munair is a huge fan of Reggae music and Salsa dancing. |
